Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region was established in the year 2001. Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region was established as the nodal department of the central government. The major objective of the ministry is to deal with the matters pertaining to socio economic development of the eight state of North East region which includes states like manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya etc.

Job Profile:

Selected candidates will have to assist the planning advisor in his work i.e. formulation of NEC Programmes.

1. Recruitment of Research Officer (Planning):

Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 56 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have Master’s degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Mathematics or Commerce from a recognized institute or university with atleast 3 years experience.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400

2. Recruitment of Assistant Research Officer:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 56 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Mathematics or Commerce from a recognized institute or university with atleast 2 years experience.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4600

The selection process for the posts of Research Officer and Assistant Research Officer in Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region includes both written examination as well as the interview.
