Profile:

Department of Information Technology (DIT) in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology are responsible to formulate, execute and review the national policies of Information Technology field. The Department is also responsible to handle all other policy matters relating to the field of Information Technology. Some of its other responsibilities involve devising policy matters related to hardware & software and silicon facility; promoting knowledge based enterprises, internet, e-commerce/ e-governance; standardizing the procedures related to international bodies, and promoting information technology education and development of electronics.

DIT invites applications from interested and eligible Indian citizens for filling up posts of Scientist (C) in the Department on direct recruitment basis.

Pay Scale - PB-3 (RS. 15600-39100) + GP of Rs. 6600

Eligibility:

Age Criteria - Upper age limit is 35 yrs.

Educational Qualification - Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Engineering or Equivalent with an aggregate of at least 60% marks; or M.Sc degree in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics/ Applied Electronics / Radio Physics and Electronics/ any other related specialization and /or discipline with an aggregate of at least 60% marks; or M.Sc Degree in Information Technology after doing B.Sc with an aggregate of at least 60% marks; or B.Sc degree + MCA degree with an aggregate of at least 60% marks. Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ or equivalent or PhD is desirable

Experience - 5 years for B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent 3 years for ME/ M.Tech or equivalent.
