Selection and Application Procedure for Constable/Driver Recruitment in CISF – 2013
The selection process for Constable/Driver Recruitment in CISF includes 4 main levels such as Eligibility test, Physical Efficiency test, Written & Trade Test and Medical examination. Those who are capable of clearing all these 4 levels of selection will be finally selected. Candidates need to take up an offline application process for these posts. It is compulsory to pay an examination fee of Rs 50/- before submitting the application. The filled in application form along with the fees and other important documents need to be submitted to the specified address. The tentative date for submitting applications is 9th April, 2013.
Selection Procedure for Constable/Driver Recruitment in CISF
There are 4 main levels in the selection process which is as follows –
Level 1 – Eligibility Test
Under this section, the eligibility criteria required (with respect to educational qualification, age, physical requirements, driving license and experience etc) related to specific posts will be strictly verified by the recruitment board. Candidates need to submit the original documents or certificates relating to their eligibility criteria. Those candidates who get through the eligibility test need to attend the next level of selection process which will be a Physical Efficiency Test.
Level 2 - Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
A detailed physical efficiency test will be conducted for the following physical activities such as –
- 800 meter Run race which need to be finished within a time frame of 3 minutes and 15 seconds
- 11 feet Long jump (3 chances will be given for candidates to perform)
- 3 feet 6 inches high jump (3 chances will be given for candidates to perform)
Ex – Servicemen candidates are generally given exemption from attending PET.
Level 3 – Written and Trade Test
Following is the structure of Written and Trade Test –
Written examination
- Total marks – 20 marks
- Qualifying marks – 10 marks
Driving test for Light vehicle
- Total marks – 50 marks
- Qualifying marks – 25 marks
Driving test for Heavy vehicle
- Total marks – 50 marks
- Qualifying marks – 25 marks
Practical Knowledge Test (relating to motor mechanisms and repair of vehicles)
- Total marks – 30 marks
- Qualifying marks – 15 marks
Level 4 – Medical Examination
Those candidates who are able to qualify written and trade test need to undertake a detailed medical examination. Candidates who emerge as fit in this level, will be finally selected for Constable/Driver positions in CISF.
Application Procedure for Constable/Driver Recruitment in CISF
As a first stage of application process, candidates need to deposit the application fees of Rs 50/- in the form of postal order. This must be taken on behalf of the specified officer and should be paid at the specified Post office with regard to different locations. After depositing the required application fees, it is necessary for candidates to fill in the prescribed application form as well. Candidates should complete all specific details asked in the application forms correctly. It is also necessary to paste a passport size photograph in the application form. The envelope application forms completely filled in along with attested Photostat copies of specified documents should be sent via post to the required address within the last date mentioned.
