Shri Swaminarayan College of Computer Science shortly called as SSCCS was established in the year 2000 with the objective of inculcating virtues to the upcoming generation. SSCCS is coming under the jurisdiction of Bhavnagar University and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accredited the college with B grade status.

Course details:

As the name implies, SSCCS is a college offering education in the arena of computer science thereby offering Bachelor of Computer Application under the guidance of Bhavnagar University. The course is designed in such a way as to develop IT leaders for the future and the course duration is three years.

Eligibility for admission:

Students can get admission to the BCA course offered by the college by completing higher secondary examination with English as a subject under general or science stream from the higher secondary education board of Gujarat or any other equivalent examination.

IGNOU Courses:

In addition to offering BCA course under Bhavnagar University, Shri Swaminarayan College of Computer Science is also acting as study center of Indira Gandhi National Open University thereby offering Certificate of Computing and Bachelor of Computer Application courses.

College library:

The central library functioning under SSCCS is equipped with modern gadgets like projector, Audio-video materials and updated books covering all areas of education. The library has a collection of 2699 books pertaining to computer technology, personality development and skill development. The library is offering book bank facility to the needy students. The college library is subscribing for 23 different magazines and 6 different newspapers as well.

Computer Lab functioning in the college:

A computer lab is functioning in the college with a wide collection of 210 computers, high-end servers, LCD projectors, broadband internet connection, overhead projectors, patch cords, CD/DVD writers, Ethernet cards and the lab is fully air-conditioned.
