Siddhartha College in Binka in the state of Orissa came into existence in the year 1983 and the college earned temporary affiliation from the Sambalpur University in the year 1993. This co-education institution got permanent affiliation from the university from the academic year 2005-06 and the college got recognition from the University Grants Commission Under Section 2 (f) and 12 (b) on the 09th of January 2009.

Eligibility for admission:

For seeking admission to the +2 arts courses offered by the college, candidates must have completed their class 10 board examination from the Orissa State Board or CBSE or any other recognized board. For seeking admission the Bachelor of Arts courses, candidates must have completed their higher secondary course in appropriate discipline from a recognized board.

Admission Procedure:

Admission of students to the aforesaid courses are offered purely on merit basis as per the marks secured by the students in the qualifying examination. The college is permitted to admit 128 students per year for the Bachelor of Arts courses offered.

Infrastructural facilities at the college:

Siddhartha College has separate common rooms for staff members, women students and men students. The college also has a playground for playing outdoor games like football and cricket. In addition, there are also facilities for playing indoor games like ludo, carom and chess. The library at the college has a collection of more than 10,000 books of which 3000 are textbooks and 7000 are reference books. The library also has a computer with broadband internet connectivity.
