Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering Technology (SLIET) is one of the most reputed institutes in India offering technical education to the aspirants. SLIET B Tech Entrance Test (SET III) is an entrance exam conducted by the institute for the selection of the eligible candidates to the B.Tech degree programmes offered by the institute. This institute was developed by the Human Resource & Development Department of Indian Government. This institute offers better facilities for the students. Structure of SET III

The candidates have to attend a written test for getting admission for the B.Tech Degree courses offered by SLIET. The SLIET B Tech Entrance Test (SET III) is a written test includes questions from two papers. Each paper carries 100 marks. The time allotted for the exam is two hours for each paper. The first paper is to evaluate the candidates’ knowledge in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, General Awareness and Mental Aptitude. Second paper includes questions from the basics of engineering specialization of the candidates. The candidates can mark the correct answer of the questions in an OMR answer sheet. No mark is reduced for the wrong answers.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria for getting admission for the Engineering Degree courses. The candidates who have completed the diploma course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering Technology or from any State Board of Technical Education affiliated polytechnics can apply for the SET III exam. The certificate of their diploma should be approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

How to Apply?

The application form and information Brochure for the SLIET SET III exam will be purchased from the Counter of SLIET by the cash payment of Rs.350. The candidates can also obtain the form through post by sending a Demand draft of Rs.375/- to the SLIET Chairman. The candidates can also purchase the form from the selected centers in Punjab against the payment of the prescribed fee. The demand draft of Rs.600/- should be enclosed with the application form.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates have to follow all the instructions provided in the information brochure for filling the form. The OMR application form will not be folded stapled or pinned the application form. No any documents should be pinned with the application form. The photograph of the candidates pasted in the form should be of good quality. The candidates should fill the form using black ink. All the data entered in the form must be correct. The signature of the candidate must be clear. All the details of the demand draft should be mentioned in the application form. The application form should be sent only through Registered post or speed post. The form reached by courier or ordinary post will be discarded.

Study Plan

The SLIET exam is a highly competitive exam and the candidates have to need a good preparation for passing the test. The candidates have to divide the whole syllabus into two sections of difficult and easy topics. Try to spend more time for preparing the difficult topics. The candidates have to spend three hours daily for preparing for the exam. After preparing give some time for revising the topics already covered by them. The candidates should have an idea about the marks he wants to secure in the exam. Then plan their study on the basis of that. Self tests have to be conducted by the candidates. It helps them to control the time of the exam. The candidates have to avoid the exam fear. It helps then to score good marks in the exam.

The result of the exam will be published in the official website www.sliet.ac.in. The candidates have to watch the website regularly for getting the exam related news.

Score Validity

The score of SLIET exam will be valid for one year.
