SLIET (Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology) started offering various courses since 20th December 1991. It offers various courses at postgraduate, certificate, graduate, and diploma levels. After achieving the Deemed to be University status, the institute has started offering Ph.D programmes as well. The institute selects eligible students to the diploma courses through an entrance test.

Structure of SLIET Diploma Courses Entrance Test (Set-II)

The entrance test for diploma programmes includes two papers. Each of the papers includes 100 questions of objective nature. Each of these questions carries 1 mark. The students are required to fill the answers in the OMR sheet. The test does not have negative marking for incorrect answers.

Eligibility Criteria

The students who wish to pursue the Diploma Programme should have completed 12th with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. They must have done their plus two from a recognized institute. Those who have passed the certificate programme in any trade from SLIET can also apply for the Diploma Programme entrance test. The students who have learned Biology/Computer Science/Biotechnology in 12th instead of Chemistry can also apply for the test.

How to Apply?

The students will get the application form and the information booklet from the official website of the institute. They have to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- through Demand Draft. The DD taken must be payable at Longowal or Sangrur. It should be taken from Punjab National Bank/Central Bank of India/Oriental Bank of Commerce/State Bank of India. The students can submit the form only after remitting the fees. The completed application should reach the office of the institute on or before the final date.

How to fill the Form?

• Understand the instructions to fill the form from the brochure
• Fill up the entries neatly and precisely
• Enter the name and date of birth same as that in the original certificates
• Never leave any column blank
• Give the address in detail
• Put the signatures in the spaces provided
• Enclose the completed application with the documents mentioned in the brochure
