Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (APVVP) was established in the year 1986 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under an Act No.29 of 1986. The APVVP was set up by restructuring the existing Government Health Organization. The APVVP was established in order to strengthen the Secondary Level Health Care System.

The Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad controls and manages 233 District Hospitals; Specialty Hospitals, Area Hospitals, and Community Health Centres except the hospitals that primarily deals with the implementation of the National Health Programmes such as leprosy Control, Family Welfare, T.B. Control, and N.P.C.B.

The APVVP consists of the Commissioner, the Governing Council, and the Employees. The APVVP offers outstanding service through excellent facilities, trauma care, blood banks and hospital upgradation.

Eligibility:
