Border Security Force (BSF) that belongs to the Central Police Forces (CPF) was established in the year 1965. The primary responsibilities of BSF are to provide security to the people living in the border areas, prevent Tran’s border crimes, as well as to prevent illegal activities such as smuggling and other unauthorized activities.

Job Profile:

Medical Officer Selection Board (CAPFs) invites application from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant) in CPF or Central Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifles).

No. of posts: 240 (BSF -63, CRPF - 135, SSB - 20, ITBP -16, Assam Rifles -6)

Pay Scale – Rs. 15600 - 39100 + Grade pay of Rs. 6600

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The maximum age limit is 35 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Educational Qualification – The candidates must have done post graduate degree or diploma in concerned specialty of medical course recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act. They must have one and half years experience. They must have completed compulsory rotating internship.
