Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Board conducts combined recruitment exam for the eligible candidates to the Assistant Grade III in General, Depot, Technical, and Account Cadres post. The candidates apart from clearing the written exam also should perform well in the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

Structure of SSC Assistant Grade III Entrance Exam

The written examination conducted by SSC will consist of two papers. The questions will be of objective type pattern. Candidates have to mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet provided. 1 mark will be awarded for each correct response. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Each paper will be of 2 hours duration. The candidates have to attend utmost number of questions correctly within the restricted time period.

Syllabus of SSC Assistant Grade III Entrance Exam

Paper – I

• General Intelligence (50 questions)
• General Awareness (50 questions)
• Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions)
• English Language (50 questions)

Paper-II

• Quantitative Methods (50 questions)
• English Language & Comprehension (100 questions)

Paper-III (For Technical Cadre)

• Biological Sciences (200 questions)

The candidates appearing for the General, Depot and Accounts Cadres post should attend paper I and paper II. Those for technical cadre post should attend paper I and paper III. Paper I and II will be of HSC level while Paper II will be of degree level.

Eligibility Criteria

For AG-III (General) post, the candidates should possess a graduate degree in any of the discipline from a recognized University. For AG-III (Accounts) post, Bachelor of Commerce degree is required. For AG-III (Technical) post, B.Sc. in Agriculture or B.Sc. in Botany / Zoology / Bio-Chemistry / Microbiology / Bio-Technology / Food Science or B.Tech / B.E in Food Science / Agricultural Engineering / Bio-Technology / Food Science & Technology is necessary. For AG-III (Depot) post, undergraduate degree in any discipline is essential. The candidates should also possess proficiency in use of computers.

How to Apply?

Application for the SSC Assistant Grade III Entrance Exam can be made both through online and offline mode. Online registration can be made through websites http://www.ssconline.nic.in and http://www.sscregistration.sifyitest.com. Offline applications must be submitted to the Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices of the SSC in the respective states. The application fee of Rs. 200/- has to be paid in any of the branches of SBI.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates are advised to read the instructions given in the notice of examination carefully before filling up the application form. While filling the offline application, use only blue / black ball pen. Examination centre, centre code, etc has to be filled very carefully without committing any sort of error. Paste a recent photograph of size 4cm x 5cm in the space provided. The communication address including the candidate’s name has to be filled clearly in block letters. Also write the 6 digit PIN in the box provided. Candidates should also furnish their mobile numbers and e-mail ids to which the notifications will be sent.
