Course Details:

As mentioned earlier, Tagore Dental College & Hospital offers Bachelor of Dental Surgery Course and the duration of this course is five years. The course integrates laboratory/practical skills, clinical dentistry and basic medical sciences.

Eligibility requirement:

For seeking admission to the BDS course offered by the Tagore Dental College & Hospital, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination with not less than 50% of aggregate marks in English, Biology, Chemistry and physics subjects. As far as candidates belonging to SC/ST category, they must have secured 40% of marks in the qualifying examination. In addition, candidates should have completed 17 years of age during the time of admission to the course or at the end of the year in which he/she is seeking admission.

Admission procedure:

Admission of students to the BDS course is done based on the merit secured by the students in the qualifying examination.

How to apply:

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirement can get the application from the campus of the college or from the office of the trust running the college. Duly filled application should be submitted along with the copies of certificates like migration certificate (in the case of candidates belonging to other states), age proof, transfer certificate, community certificate (in the case of SC/ST candidates), mark sheets of class 10 and class 12 examination. In the case of candidates belonging to other states, they should get eligibility certificate from the Dr. M.G.R. Medical University before applying to the college.
