Tezpur University organizes national level entrance exam every year for the admittance of the eligible candidates to its Master of Technology (M.Tech) programme. Those scoring above the cutoff mark in the entrance exam have to attend the interview section and on the basis of performance in both the rounds, the candidate’s selection is made final.

Structure of Tezpur University M.Tech in Electronic Design and Technology Entrance Exam

M.Tech in Electronic Design and Technology Entrance Exam will consist of 2 sections which have to be answered within 120 minutes. The first section includes questions of objective type having 4 alternative options. The second section will have 3 questions of descriptive type. The highest mark that can be scored is 100.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have done with their B.E / AMIE / B. Tech or equivalent qualification in Electronics/ Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering are eligible for the M.Tech in Electronic Design and Technology entrance exam conducted by the Tezpur University. Those who have completed their M.Sc in Electronics / Instrumentation / Physics / AMIETE with a total of around fifty percentage marks are also eligible for the same. The candidates with GATE score will get more preference for admission.

How to Apply?

The application form together with prospectus can be obtained from various concerned branches of the Axis Bank by fee payment of Rs.520/- (Rs. 270/- for SC / ST candidates). The same can also be obtained through post for which a bank draft of Rs. 560/- (Rs. 310/-for SC / ST candidates) should be drawn. Candidates should draw the same in favor of the Registrar, Tezpur University. Along with it a self addressed envelope has to be sent. It can also be acquired by paying Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC / ST candidates) at the University cash counter. There is also a yet another provision to download the application form from the official website http://www.tezu.ernet.in/.  For this, the fee payment has to be done via demand draft of Rs.500/- (Rs. 250/- in case of SC / ST candidates).

How to fill the Form?

Filling of application forms is one of the important things which have to be done very cautiously. One has to take intense care while filling the form. Not even a single mistake has to be committed. If the candidates feel any queries while filling, refer the information brochure where all the necessary details are included. The details mentioned such as the candidates’ name, DOB, etc should exactly match with that in their HSC certificate. Also after filling the form completely, go through it once and make sure that all the details furnished are correct.
