Thapar University organizes M.Sc in Biotechnology/ M.Sc in Microbiology Entrance Test annually for the purpose of selecting eligible students for admission into Master of Science in Biotechnology and Master of Science in Microbiology programs offered at this University. The students will be admitted into these courses based on their score in the entrance test.

Structure of Thapar University M.Sc in Biotechnology/ M.Sc in Microbiology Entrance Test

This entrance test will have time duration of 90 minutes. This test will be of objective type. There will be altogether 75 questions. This test will have 3 sections. The first section will be a compulsory one and will have questions from Chemistry. The second section will comprise of questions from the subject area of Physics and Mathematics. The third section will have questions from Biology. The students can either choose second section or else third section along with the first section.

Eligibility Criteria

The aspirant should hold a B.Sc degree in Biology or related subjects from a reputed Institution. They should score minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam to apply for this exam.

The form can be collected directly from the University’s counter and also can be downloaded from the university website. The candidates need to take a DD of Rs.1500/- in favor of Thapar University and should send that along with the form to “Incharge Admission Cell’ Thapar University, Patiala (Punjab)-147004.

How to fill the Form?

The form for this exam needs to be filled very carefully without any mistakes. The personal details and also official information need to be entered with great care. The latest photograph of the candidate has to be placed in the correct position. The candidate needs to put the signature in the correct columns as well. All the important columns must be filled properly failing which the application may get rejected. The neatly filled up form must reach the exact address within the last date mentioned.
