No, you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination after completion of your Diploma course. To join in NDA, you need to appear in NDA examination which requires the educational qualification of 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board. The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year and the eligibility criteria required to appear in NDA examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years old.

3. You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board.

4. You must be an Unmarried Male candidate.

5. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification.

I am really sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for NDA & NA Examination being a Diploma Graduate. Yes, "Diploma" Graduates are not at all eligible to appear in NDA examination. The basic educational qualification required is "12th Class" from a recognized university in 10+2 Pattern and not in 10+3 pattern.

Educational Qualification Required:

< For Army Wing of NDA >: 12th class pass of the 10+2 Pattern of School Education

< For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA >: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education with Physics and Mathematics.

Age Criteria: 16.5 years to 19 years

Irrespective of your age criteria, you are not eligible to apply for NDA as far as educational qualification is concerned (having Diploma as an Educational Qualification).

No, you are not eligible to apply for NDA Examination because diploma is not equivalent to intermediate. To apply for this examination, you should have completed intermediate from a reputed School. Only Intermediate candidates are eligible to apply. NDA i.e National Defence Academy Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission two times in a year for admission to Army wings, Navy wings and Air Force wings.

Eligibility Criteria :-

For Army Wings :

-> You should have completed intermediate in any desired subject from a recognized School or equivalent qualification.
-> You must have attained the age of 16.5 years and must not have attained the age of 19 years.
-> You should be Unmarried male candidate.
-> No percentage bar is there to apply.

For Navy Wings and Air Force Wings :

-> You should have completed intermediate with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subject from a recognized School or equivalent qualification.
-> You must have attained the age of 16.5 years and must not have attained the age of 19 years.
-> You should be Unmarried male candidate.
-> No percentage bar is there to apply.

As per age criteria, you are not eligible for NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
