PG Diploma holder is eligible for NET exam?


I have taken Admission in Post Graduation Diploma in Financial Management (2016-17) From Mumbai University. Am I eligible for NET & SET exam?

Some say Yes and Some Say No.
I am Totally Confused.
Pls Help me Out.

Yes. PG Diploma holder is eligible for the NET exam. The candidate must have completed post-graduate degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate from any recognized university or institute to get eligible for the exam.

No, you are not eligible for UGC NET exam.


NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

This exam is conducted by UGC.

The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognised University with 55% marks. 5% of relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates.

Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

PG Diploma is not a Degree. Yes, you are eligible to apply for UGC NET exam. As per the official notification candidates should have completed the post graduate degree with more than 55% aggregate marks from the recognized university. Also you must have completed the age limit criteria.
