I am interested to apply an education loan in Oriental Bank of Commerce. But I would not be able to provide a guarantor. But my friends told me that guarantor is necessary for applying an education loan. So, I would like to know that I can apply an education loan in this bank without a guarantor?

No, you can't apply for education loan without any guarantor at any bank in India. Every bank will ask for a guarantor or co-applicant and any family member can become one.

Hence, make sure you have someone from your family, who is earning a decent income to become your guarantor. There is no other way, if you are not earning and doesn't have any income.
