I want to apply in Free Education Scheme for SC & OBC Students (Chandigarh) 2018-19 as I have completed my 12th standard and now studying BCom. I know that this scholarship is for school students. So, can I get this scholarship? Kindly tell me about this as soon as possible. Thank you!

No, you are not eligible to apply for the Free Education Scheme for SC & OBC Students (Chandigarh) being a BCom student.

Eligibility to apply for the Free Education Scheme for SC & OBC Students (Chandigarh) is given below:

The applicant should belong to any caste declared as Scheduled Caste or Other Backward Class for the UT, Chandigarh

Applicant’s total annual family income shall not exceed Rs 2,50,000

Applicant should have studied in UT, Chandigarh for at least two academic sessions

Applicant should have passed 10+2 or qualifying examination in first attempt with minimum 50% marks from any School / College in UT, Chandigarh

Applicant should have admitted to any one of the courses given here: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, DHMS, BVSc, BE, Bachelor of Architecture, BFA, BPharmacy, BSc (Nursing), Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Degree/Diploma in Laboratory Technology, BEd, MEd, LLB, LLM, MCA, MBA

The applicant’s parent should be bona fide residents of UT, Chandigarh for the past 3 years

Degree /diploma in laboratory technology
