Sir, I am studying degree course in Assam but belongs to Tripura. Am I eligible to apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme? Eligibility criteria and procedure to apply for it?

Eligibility Criteria for Ishan Uday Scholarship 2017 :-

-The candidate must have the domicile of NER.

-The candidate must have completed class 12th of equivalent from any recognized board of education and they must have enrolled in any graduation program.

-The parental income of the applicants should not be more than Rs. 4.5 Lakh per annum.

Scholarship Award:

For General Degree Programs: Rs. 3500/- per month

For Technical & Professional courses (including Medical & Para medical courses): Rs. 5000/- per month

Documents required for Ishan Uday Scholarship :

Aadhar Card
Domicile
Parental Income Certificate
Bank Account Details
Recent Passport Size Photo
All Educational Certificates etc.


How to apply :-

Visit the official website @ www.ugc.ac.in.

Search the link that indicates to this scholarship notification.

Read the official details carefully and click on the 'apply online' link.

Fill the required details in the online application form and upload the concerned documents along with the latest passport size photograph of you.

Now, check the preview of your application form and hit the submit button.

Finally, take a printout of it for future use.

Students who have passed Class XII or equivalent from a school situated within North Eastern Region (NER) from a recognized board with the domicile of NER are eligible to apply for the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme. Students should have obtained admission in the general degree course, technical course and professional courses (including medical and paramedical) in a recognized university or college are eligible to apply for the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme. Eligibility criterion to apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship:
>Candidates must belong from North-Eastern region that is Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
>Candidate must have gained admission into the first year course of the general degree course, technical or professional courses in UGC recognized Universities/Colleges/Institutions under section 2(f) of UGC Act, within and outside the States of North-Eastern region.
>The maximum family income of the family should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakhs.
>Candidate must have completed 12th standard from a recognized board including CBSE, ICSE, NIOS within the North-Eastern Region only.

Since you are studying your degree course and you belong from Tripura, so you are eligible for the aforesaid scholarship.
Those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of the Ishan Uday Scholarship can apply for Scholarship 2017-2018 by filling the online Ishan Uday Scholarship Application form at https://scholarships.gov.in/loginPag...3WuYSRq9.node7 .
During the time of applying Scholarship Application form, candidates are required to upload the following documents:
>Domicile Certificate
>Date of Birth Certificate
>Income Certificate
>Physically Handicapped Certificate (if any)
>Affidavit on Rs 50 stamp paper (for undertaking/declaration).
After filling the Scholarship form, the candidates should keep the print out of the Application form safely with them for future reference.

No, you cannot apply for ISHAN Uday Scholarship as you don't meet the essential eligibility requirement that is 'You must take admission in any graduation programme ' and you are taking coaching so you are not eligible for this.
You can try next year after getting admission in any University/College.
