Hello Sir/Madam, I would like to know about the eligibility criteria for applying in SERB National Post Doctoral Fellowship this year. I am currently doing MTech in Biotechnology. So, I want to know about the eligibility criteria so that I can apply for this fellowship.

Eligibility to apply for SERB National Post Doctoral Fellowship 2021 is as follows.

Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

Applicant must have obtained a PhD/MD/MS degree from a recognized University.

Applicant must not be older than 35 years of age at the time of application submission.

Eligibility to apply for SERB National Post Doctoral Fellowship 2021:-

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

Be an Indian citizen.
Have obtained a PhD / MD / MS degree from a recognised University .
Not be older than 35 years of age at the time of application.

Note - Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Challenged and Women candidates.

N - PDF can be availed only once by a candidate in his / her career.

The mentor must hold a regular or academic/ research position in a recognised institution in India. He/ she should hold a Ph.D degree in Science of Engineering.

Applicants who have submitted this PhD / MD / MS thesis and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply.

However, such candidates, if selected, will be offered lower fellowship amount Till they qualify The eligible degree.

Applicants who have submitted their PhD/MD/MS thesis and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility criteria for SERB National Post Doctoral Fellowship 2020:-


✓ Educational Qualification:- Applicant's must have obtained Ph.D/M.D/M.S degree from a recognized University. The applicants who have submitted their PhD/M.D/M.S thesis and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply.
✓ Age Limit:- Applicant's age must be maximum 35 years at the time of the submission of application. Age relaxation of 5 (five) years will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged & Women candidates.
✓ Nationality:- The applicant should be Indian Citizen.
