My aieee rank is 24500.Can I get Integrated MSc.(Maths) from NIT Rourkela?

generally each year TOP 10,000 candidates are selected for NIT's. Last year total 23,000 and something studets were selected for NIT', IIIT's, and other Institutes of National Importance.

So, you can also understand that even after increase of 10 new NIT's it would be difficult for you.

But instead of that I will suggest you to go for AIEEE. Thats because there stands a good chance for you to get Institutes of National Importance, which would be better then VIT.

21,000 AIR is way behind in the rankings and most probably it cannot fetch you any seat in the NIT's and even if it does, it would certainly not give you the choose the course you want to study.

So keeping aside this option, yeah 21,000 is not that bad a rank when you start looking at the private universities. So you may have a chance to take up JP Noida (any one of the two campuses) or some other good colleges all over India.

But 8500 rank in VIT can get you a good course. You can opt from the CSE, or EEE, or ME.

If you look at it from a different perspective, in any case you are going to land up in a private university, unless you take another AIEEE attempt and improve your ranking in it.

So VIT if it gives you good course, and a world class environment and campus to pursue your studies, you can think of going for it.

Rest its your decision.

It is diffculte to take admission in NIT.
Because top 10000 students are taken in NIT.
