Hi,

I've got rank 21000 (overall) in AIEEE, 16500 in general catagory and have got rank 8600 in VITEEE. which one should i go for ? are there any chances of getting any NIT with this rank this year? considering there are 10 new NITs would that matter in term of rank cutoffs?

dear friend, as per your rank it is very difficult to get a chance in NIT.
But you can try for many other good private engineering colleges like BIT,Thapar university etc. which take admission as per rank of AIEEE.
As you want to compare between the rank of AIEEE & VITEEE, i will suggest you to go for AIEEE rank, because the no. of seats are very few in VIT as compare with AIEEE.

i think you must go for the AIEEE as this college is recognized by the government and if you belong to middle class family then you can easily afford this colleges also..........
n i am sure you will get NIT with such a good rank........

I dont think you can expect NIT's.

Because generally each year TOP 10,000 candidates are selected for NIT's. Last year total 23,000 and something studets were selected for NIT', IIIT's, and other Institutes of National Importance.

So, you can also understand that even after increase of 10 new NIT's it would be difficult for you.

But instead of that I will suggest you to go for AIEEE. Thats because there stands a good chance for you to get Institutes of National Importance, which would be better then VIT.

it will be better if you take your admission through aieee as your all india ranking is 20000 and you can get good colleges like
some of the NITs
BIT,mesra
VIT,
KIITs

Anything is possible this year because new NITs have come up. So with your rank there can be a slight chance. But still better keep your fingers crossed and wait for counseling

But if incase you are not able to get an NIT then VIT will be the best for you. So go for it as its a good college with good placements.

it will be better if you take your admmision on the basis of your AIEEE.

u might get one of the new nit but instead of new nit i would prefer u go for some oter colleges like thapar university(punjab),pec university(patiala),jaypee solan,jaypee noida all these r very good coleges in north wid excellent infra,placement,studies,student interaction etc.
if u belong to north i won't prefer u vit coz there is big language,food problem etc and especially for girls i won't recommend it for aiee central counselling colleges u cn get r ---

as your rank is 21000 you cannot get into nit's .. try for some other good private colleges

How is career & growth with B.Arch as compared to B.Tech

What about SRM University for taking admission in B.Tech CSE Courses? My rank in SRMJEE is 5423 and what is the probability to get a seat in CSE.

i will suggest you to go for aieee instead of vit because according to this years cut off which is 55 marks you are having very good chances of getting an nit college.also due to addition of new nits upto 25000 ranked students will go in nit because some of the top rankers also qualify iit exam and go there.

Its very difficult to get NIT with this rank.
In my opinion AIEEE collages of this rank are better than VIT.

Difficult to get NITs but definitely worth the try.

what about srm university ? how is the placement of srm and what about civil branch

what is the scope of civil engineering???

is srm university a batter option in private colleges????

hi, based on your rank for aieee and viteee it is difficult to get admission in NITs though you keep applying and attending the councellings for which you are selected ...best of luck

This is a good rank for AIEEE but i don't think that you will get a seat in NIT as for this you should have rank below 10,000.

So look for some private college like Lovely Professional University and you can also join VIT as it is a reputed college.

So first try for NIT otherwise go for VIT.

they are both good acheivements,but i think vit is better because
1. it is older and accredited
2.it is one of the foremost engg. college in india

as you have scored good air so you can get NITs but you can't get your interesting branch.

you can get your interesting branch only in pvt. colleges just like

VIT

WBUT

UPTU

BPTU.

you would NIT like rourkela or patna...
instead you can opt for vit also

There is no hope in VITEEE at this rank since good rank for admission in VIT exam is under 1000.
However , in AIEEE 21000 rank is good , since you belong to general category therefore it is not possible to get a seat in 1st counselling in NITs but you may get a seat in 2nd or 3rd counselling , and against a vacant seat you may take admission in NITs.

Join top NITs or else join VIT.
VIT is one of the top rated institutes after IITs.

So going for VIT is preferable than going for new NITs.

I suggest go for AIEEE because in this rank you will get admission in the good colleges across india. on the other hand from VITEEE rank you might not get good colleges in vellor or anywhere.
So better to go for AIEEE, i think you will get chance in many government college anywhere in india.

It seems to be a bit impossible regarding getting GOOD NIT with this rank. you can try in other good private colleges under AIEEE/VITEEE.

Is there any direct second year admission exam for VITEE??if yes then when and what is the syllabus?

I think you get a seat in AIEEE in Trichy,Silchar and Surat.Its better that you go for AIEEE instead of VIT.Of course VIT is a good Institute but its better that you go for AIEEE since you can even try out for the other Universities other than NIT's like

Bihar Engineering college
Government Engineering college
Tripura Engineering College
Thapar University
Mata Vaishno devi University

So you have a chance in studying the above Universities.
Just try out in AIEEE councelling and if you didn't get the college of your desire then you can go for VIT.
