Re: What to do after B.E. ?
You have 3 options infront of you
1)Job 2)Studies in abroad 3)Higher studies Choosing a career option is completely a personal choice. You can do a simple exercise to guide to better. Try to write down on a piece of paper what you want to be after 5 years down the line. Also mention what are the things that make to happy. This will give you the much needed clarity on what is the best choice ME or MBA in long run in terms of money and happiness. If you choose to go for MBA, then there are many colleges in India like National Institute of Industrial Engineering Mumbai which take only engineers. To know more about this b school visit http://www.edufyi.com/nitie_mumbai.html . I suggest you visit www.eduFYI.com which covers many management (MBA) institutions apart from other professional colleges like engineering, medical, dental etc. There is a detailed profile of management colleges given in this website including the average and highest salary earned by students both in India and abroad. Visit this link for more information http://www.edufyi.com/profile_of_institu… . Hope this will help. Ask yourself these questions: 1) Do you really love your engineering subjects and want to live your whole life dealing with such designing and calculations? If your answer is a strong yes, go for M.E. Getting into some IIT for ME is not that tough and you will surely get a good engineering job or good resarch scope after two years. Don't worry about MBA in this case. If you need one you can get a part time done anytime. 2) If the answer to your above question is no, then ask yourself: Do you really have some kind of job in your mind or will go after whoever pays more (WPM). If it is WPM, try getting such a job. Parallely keep preparing for MBA. Make sure that you get at least a job before your final session ends. Write MBA tests also. At the end of the year check if you have converted into any of those MBA institutes which you dreamt of. If yes, go for it. Blindly. Even if you got your dream job. If not, join the job, keep preparing for MBA. The best time to do an MBA is with two years of work experience. So try that. Chances are high that after two years of job you will want some change. My suggestion is if you are going for an MBA and you believe you deserve to get into the top 20 colleges of India, don't do a part time MBA. All the best. |

Re: What to do after B.E. ?
dear friend,
You have mentioned that you have already completed your B.tech course.. And you want to appear in GATE exam, then go for it.. This is a good decision to go for M.Tech course after completion of B.Tech.. You can go for M.tech course in the streams like- 1.VLSI 2.Embedded System 3.Advanced communication system 4.Signal processing.. These are emerging fields.. As you are saying that you want to go for a part time job, then you can do- Call center jobs, Private tuition.. By doing these you can earn at least 6000-8000/- per month. So, go for it.. All the best. |

Re: What to do after B.E. ?
Choosing a career option is completely a personal choice. You can do a simple exercise to guide to better.
-but still after b.e you can go for mba, m.e or m.tech. It is also possible for these students to go research studies. - students can start preparing for exams like gate and cat depending on which higher education stream; they would like to go in for. Gate coaching is a must since you need extensive preparation and an in-depth understanding of the concepts and principles to crack the exam. -job opportunities for b.e students:- almost every industry provides different carrer prospects for b.e students. You could look at multiple industries. Communications transportation electronics electro-mechanical energy conversion robotics manufacturing industries like automobile, aircraft, chemical, food and pulp & paper. Software engineering -short term courses for electrical engineering graduates:- those who wish to pursue a software engineering career can go in for some diploma programs in computing from institutes like niit. Ieee and some engineering colleges offer short term job orientation program. Good luck.. |

Re: What to do after B.E. ?
AS YOU have completed B. Tech (ECE) you should go in VLSI Design field.
There is good scope for VLSI professionals in India. After M.Tech. In my opinion no other job is perfect other then teaching as a partime job. |

Re: What to do after B.E. ?
Engineering graduates have a lots of career opportunities to go for.
1. Can go for MBA 2. Can go for M.Tech 3. Can go for M.Sc (From Abroad) 1. Candidates who want to make their career in corporate world can go for MBA. As this is the right choice for them. This not only gives weight to the resume but also give the information to the employer that you are graduated to 1. To analyze thing in an informative manner and 2. To manage time. You can complete MBA from your own country as well as from outside your country. 2. Candidates who want to make their career in teaching or research must go for M.Tech. As this background provide that inmate capability to share information and knowledge in order to make other people use that information in constructive works. And also help in creating good human beings and good citizens. 3. M.Sc is actually an expensive higher study programme, but has its own good perspectives. This is also for people interested in corporate world. This course cost around 20 to 25 Lakhs for complete course from a recognized university and in countries like US, UK, and Australia. |

Re: What to do after B.E. ?
Sir,It depends on your choice and future plans, whether you want to do a government job in any field or wantsto use your engineering skills to helpany private company.
MBA from a recognized institute is a best option for you if you have an interest in making a career in business sector and if you wants to do a government job in future then MTech is the best option for you to choose. |
