Re: Can girls apply for NDA exam?
Hi dear,
As per the eligibility criteria of the NDA exam girls are not eligible to appear for the NDA exam. Only the male candidate are eligible to apply for the NDA exam. Candidate who have passed the 10+2 examination and have age between 16½ - 19 years are eligible to apply for the NDA exam. Girls can apply for the defense as an officer. To apply for the defence services as an officer you should have to be graduate first. After the graduation you can apply for the Indian Army, Air force and Navy as an officer through CDSE exam. Candidates having graduation are eligible to apply for the CDSE examination. Candidates having degree in engineering are also eligible to apply for the CDSE exam. Candidate who appeared in the CDSE exam should have age between 19 to 24 for IMA. 19 to 23 for Air force and 19 to 22 for Naval Academy. So you are not eligible for the NDA examination but you can apply for the defence service after the completion of your graduation as an officer through above entry scheme. Thanks |

Re: Can girls apply for NDA exam?
No girls are not eligible to appear for NDA exam.
Only the candidates who are unmarried male candidates are eligible to appear for NDA exam. So anyway there are some other ways through which girls can join Indian army. That is through CDSE (Combined Defense Services) Exam. But in order to be eligible for this, one should have completed her graduation. The other one is SSB Entry. This will be possible if a girl has NCC C certificate. |

Re: Can girls apply for NDA exam?
Quote:
selection for NDA will be done at the age of 17-18 , as per the laws Girls are said to have the supervision and protection from his guardian/parent they require attention of their beloved parents so as to join for NDA male candidates can be left in hostels but female candidates are not that rough and tough persons so they need continous protection till they cross their minor status may be this is the one of the reason why the female candidates are not allowed to write the NDA exam We can't say this is the perfect reason but this may be the one of the reason why the defense academy thinks that the girls are not eligible at that age No need to worry girls after their major status can come into armed forces like military navy and army through an exam called SSC(Staff selection committee) So wait for it this exam should be written after your graduation.. So be regularly updated with forum and other medias Regards ~aditya~ |

A three-pronged approach is followed by the SSB. 1)Personal interview 2)Outdoor test or group task officer tests 3)Psychological testing apparatus Ay this stage the purely spontaneous and natural responses of the candidate are sought to be accessed by the SSB. The tests are administered on an individual basis and also in groups. During the course of this subtle testing pattern, candidates are under observation throughout. SSB primary aim is to select individuals with the potential to be groomed into, and trained as, officers for the defense services finally. Motivation for joining the defense forces is an important question to be prepared for the interview. Everything is assessed while the interview is on verbal answers as well as non verbal attitude, gestures, stance, power of expression, self confidence, self assurance etc. The SSB pattern includes a number of physical tests to evaluate the candidate stamina, physical fitness, aptitude for physical activity, flexibility of the body, agility as well as courage for making daring attempts. The psychological testing apparatus comprises verbal and non verbal exercise, word association exercise, thematic apperception, situation reaction, self appraisal, aptitude for logical reasoning and objectivity. Upto a certain level of seniority promotions are bound by a time scale, after which they are gone on selection basis depending on vacancies arising at the top level. They are guaranteed a job, along with all the perks and allowances, many of which continue even after retirement. Jobs in the Defense Services involve a great deal of power and authority, though there are frequent transfers. Competent officers always have a chance of being promoted to senior positions over the years. |
