Sir,Well,IES exam mainly focuses on fourcategories:
1.civil
2.mechanical
3.electrical
4.electronics and telecommunication.
First you have to be in one of these branch from any recognized university and must have passed the degree course having the proof of passing out. You can try for more than 2 or 3 attempts but the minimum age qualification is 21 to 30 years as on august of the year.Thenotification usually comes in januaryand february of the year.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service.IES exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once.

To appear for IES exam,you should have completed or in final year of B-Tech/B.E course with any one branch mentioned below
>>Mechanical Engineering
>>Electrical Engineering
>>Electronic Engineering
>>Civil Engineering
And your age should be between 21 to 30 year.You can attempt as many years you eligible with age criteria.

IES exam notification will release in the month of March and exam will held on July month every year once.

The eligibility criteria for IES exam are as follows.......

Educational Qualifications :

Degree in :
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communications Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

or equivalent degree from recognized universities.

• M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.


Age Limits :

Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on August 1st on year of conduct of examination ( upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs,OBCs and certain others )




The number of attempts which you can apply for this exam are as follows..

"4 attempts for General category .

"7 attempts For OBC candidates category.

"No limit for SC/ST candidates category.

IES is for Electrical engineer graduates who scored above 60% in their graduation which is conducting by INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE once in a year

Total number of attempss the candidate to have

1.General category candidate can appear 4 times only,

2.OBC can appear 7 times and

3.SC & ST candidate can attempt ant number of times.

To apply this first of all you need to satisfy below conditions.

Educational qualification:-
