Chairman of National Women Commission

The National Commission for women was set up as statutory body

in January 1992 under the national commission for women, act 1990.

Dr. Girija Vyas has been nominated as the chairperson

of National Commission for women for a period of three years.

She joined the commission on 9th April 2008.
