Sir, I am doing B.Com (General) and I am interested in Economics. So can I give the IES examination? How much would I have to score in my B.Com finals to be eligible to apply and write the IES entrance exam? And, which other similar nature exams I can write?

As of my knowledge IES examination is meant for candidates posses qualification in engineering degrees. You can opt for UPSC civil service examination as graduation is the education qualification required for it.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Services that is conducted by UPSC every year for recruitment of Engineers to prestigious posts in government organizations.

As per educational qualifications required for IES exam, you should have completed graduation in technical field. That means, candidate should have done graduation in B.Tech/B.E. to be eligible for IES exam.

Hence, B.Com graduates are not eligible for IES exam. However, you can apply for other exams like CDS, Civil Services Exam, Bank exams and many more.
