hi my name is siddarth my age is 22 my weight is 80 kg and my height is 175 cm ...........am eligible for cds or not?

The eligibility is as follows:

1.Indian Military Academy: Degree from a recognized university.
Age limit:19-24yrs.

2.Naval Academy:B.Sc/B.E with physics and maths.
Age limit:19-22yrs.

3.Air Force Academyegree from a recognized university with physics and maths.
Age limit:19-23yrs.

4.Officers Training Academyegree from a recognized university.
Age limit:19-25yrs.

As per the standard set by the UPSC, if the height of a candidate is 175 cm and his age is 22 years, the standard weight should be 62 kg which is relaxed upto certain limit but since your weight is 80 kg, you will be considered as overweight and will be rejected during the medical examination.
So, if you want to make yourself eligible for the Defense Forces, you must work hard to loose the excess weight. You must start physical exercise as soon as possible and eat a balanced diet.
Apart from height and weight ratio, there are many other factors which are considered during the medical examination.

Dear Friend

Through CDS examination one can join any one of the
IMA, IAF, INA and OTA.

As you have become 22 years old so you can't apply for Indian Naval Academy
but you can apply for rest of the academies.

Your height and weight figures are not according to the standard for Air Force
and Military even after considering 10% tolerance.

So, you can apply for officers' training academy in present condition.

However you can do exercises to lose some weight. If you manage to lose
upto 70 Kgs, you might be eligible for other academies.

The proportion of height 175 cms with weight is 62 kgs.

According to this you are not eligible for CDS exam.

You need to loose your weight, to become eligible.

I am very sure that you are eligible because the age limit is 19-24,and you are now only 22.
if you are physically fit and also you can clear all physical round then you would be eligible...

But in world nothing is impossible u shuld try to loss ur weight then u have possibility for entring

eligibility for CDS exam-
*graduation from affiliated university in india or equivalent with minimum aggregate 50% in graduation.
*age limit19-23yr.
Since you have 80 kg weight then it would be a hurdle for you it should be 60-65 kg.
No matter you have chance to lose weight and get appear in CDS conducted by UPSC twice in a year. CDS 1st in mid february and CDS 2nd in the month of september 367 every year.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to appear for CDS(Combined Defense Services Examination) as you are not fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

CDS examination lets a candidate to be placed in either of the following
-Indian Military Academy
-Naval Academy
-Air force.

As per your height, you need to be with the weight of 62 kgs to be eligible for the exam. But your actual weight is 80 kg which makes you not eligible for the exam

I am 22 years old and my height is 167cm, but I do a lot of body building exercises with a heavy and healthy diet, therefore I have a weight of 69kg, I have excellent stamina, can do atleast 60-70 push ups at 1 go and can "sprint" for 1.5 km without any problem, and normally run for 4 km without any breaks. Am i eligible for army?
