Sir/Mam,

I got 173 marks in JEE Mains......I belong to OC category...I got 981 marks in intermediate from AndhraPradesh board...Can I get admission in NIT Trichy with ECE or CSE branch??......Please guide me... Awaiting for the response.

NIT stands for National Institute of Technology. There are more than 25 NITs located in different states of India. Out of all NITs, NIT, Trichy is the best one and hence marks required for admission in this NIT in JEE Main is high for candidates of all category.

JEE main is of 360 marks and you have scored only 173 marks, even when you belong to OC category, there is very less chance of getting admission in NIT, Trichy. You will get admission in NIT but Trichy may not be possible. Rank list will be released for JEE Main before 30th June.

NIT, Trichy is one of the top most National Institute of Technology in India. It is not possible for candidates of OC category also with 173 marks in Joint Entrance Exam Main to get admission in this NIT.

Even for OC candidates, minimum of 60% marks that is 60% of 360 marks that is at least 216 marks along with good percentage of marks in board exams then there will be some possibility of getting admission in NIT, Trichy. You can not get admission in this institute with 173 marks.

You are not eligible for admission in National Institute of Technology, Trichy after scoring 173 marks in JEE Main examination.

For admission in NIT, Trichy, candidates from OC category must score more than 240 marks out of 360 otherwise there is no chance for them to get admission . You can get admission in other NITs with 173 marks.
