The Annamalai University is recognized bY UGC. It is not recognized by AICTE.

Annamalai University today is spread over an extensive campus of about one thousand acres and has the faculties of Arts, Science, Indian Languages, Engineering and Technology, Education, Fine Arts, Medicine and Dentistry, and ,in all, they comprise 48 departments of study.

AICTE stands for the All India council of Technical Education.

It is a council which provided approval to colleges or university for the different courses like bachelor 's degree in engineering ,technology etc.

Annamalai University does not require AICTE approval.

Annamalai University is recognized bY UGC( University Grants Commission) and DEC.

It is a deemed university.
