Assam University is approved by University Grants Commission. AICTE stands for All India Council for Technical Education. AICTE does not grant approval to universities. It only approves technical courses of university and technical institutes under any university.

Various technical courses under Assam university or technical colleges affiliated to it is approved by AICTE.
