Are BCA graduates allowed to take AFCAT examination?


Is a BCA (Science) graduate with 85% in Graduation and in 12th 45 marks in Physics and 62 marks in Mathematics allowed to take AFCAT exam? And, also let me know about other similar entrance for which I am eligible?

Are BCA graduates allowed to take AFCAT examination

Yes, a BCA graduate can take AFCAT exam provided the degree is recognized. He/She will be eligible to apply for both Ground Duty and Flying branches if the person had studied Physics and Mathematics in PU (12th standard) or else he/she will be eligible to apply only for Ground Duty branch.

AFCAT Eligibility criteria 2020:

-- Educational Qualification:

Flying Branch : Candidate should have passed class 10 + 2 with 60% in maths and physics in graduation in any discipline/BE/BTech/Cleared Section A and B exam of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers or Aeronautical society of India with 60%.

Age limit - 20 to 24 years.

Ground Duty ( Technical)Branch-

Candidate must have completed class ten plus two with 60% in physics, mathematics and minimum of 4 years degree graduation / integrated post graduation in engineering or technology from a recognised university.

Age limit - 20 to 26 years.

Being a BCA graduate, you are Eligible to take AFCAT exam.

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Addmission Test. The eligibility criteria required to apply for this examination is Candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or science from a recognized university. Candidate age must lie between 19 to 25 years.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for AFCAT examination being a BCA graduate.

AFCATexamination is conducted for recruitment as an officer in Indian Air Force.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in Mathematics and Physics with minimum 60% aggregate in each of them and with minimum 60% in bachelor degree.

Examination is conducted in two stages for final selection.

So, you are not eligible to appear in the examination.
