Hai,.
Civils exam can conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
There are some of the changes in civils exam pattern of the preliminary examination.
2011 in the scheme of civil services examination.

As per the decision of government of india, there shall be change in the syllabus and pattern of the preliminary examination from 2011 in the scheme of the citin services examination.

The preliminary examination shall now comprise of two compulsory papers of 200marks each and of two hours duration each.

Some of the books to prepare for the civils exam:

NCERT books from 7th class to 10th class, in these there are mainly science and social sciencese is must useful.
Read daily news papers like THE HINDU MAGAZINE- FRONTLINE, INDIA TODAY, KRUKSHETRA.
