Re: Which branch of engineering has the highest demand?
There are several branches of engineering and they’re all in demand in India, some more than others. However, you’ll have the most success in the branch that best fits you. Think about your particular interests and strengths you may have for one type of engineering work. They all require an analytical mind and an ability to solve practical problems using math, physics and technology. Choose the right branch for you, and you’ll find it easiest in school and be the most motivated and productive at work. If you really want to be an engineer and are well suited for it, you can have an enjoyable and rewarding career.
When you look for an engineering job, keep in mind that industry can afford to hire only freshers with good marks and a talent for their branch of engineering. In India, coming from a top-rated school can also help. Employers can tell from a student’s CV and job interview how well they’ll perform on the job. India there are thousands of young people who studied mechanical engineering only because they (or their parents) hoped it would get them some kind of job. They later discovered it did not, and they’re now unemployed and unemployable. However, if you have a strong natural interest and ability for engineering, you’ll be able to get a good job. |
