Can I apply for CDS OTA examination if I'm in the final year of Intermediate but not received my 2nd PUC results yet? If yes, then when and how to apply for it? Also, share last 10 years question bank for preparation.

The full form of CDS is Combined Defence Services.

CDS examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice every year for selection of candidates to IMA, OTA, INA etc.

1. The minimum academic qualification required is bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

Intermediate passed or appearing candidates can not apply for CDS exam. They are eligible for NDA examination.

Candidates in std 12th are not eligible to appear for CDS.

CDS is conducted by UPSC. The examination is conducted twice in a year.

The required minimum qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed or in the final year of bachelor degree.

So, you will become eligible for OTA after the bachelor degree.

You are eligible to appear for NDA conducted by UPSC.

You can apply for these examination online at official website www.upsc.gov.in.

OTA refers to Officer's Training Academy and to join the same one is required to qualify the CDS entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year.

Further, the minimum education required to apply for appearing in CDS entrance examination to join OTA are as below :-

* You must hold the nationality of Indian.

* Your age need to lie within 20 years to 25 years.

* You must have completed your degree course in any discipline from a recognised university. Students pursuing final year of their bachelor's degree course are also eligible.

* You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

So, being a student of Class 12th, you are not eligible to join OTA at this stage.

No, you cannot apply for CDS OTA exam. Because, to be eligible for CDS OTA exam, you must have completed graduation or must be in final year of graduation course.

As you have just passed 12th standard, so currently you cannot apply for CDS OTA exam.

After you have completed graduation course, you can apply for CDS OTA exam through UPSC online portal i.e. upsconline.nic.in

There you will have to complete Step I and Step II process for complete filling of the application form.

CDS conducts examination for recruitment in IMA, IAF, INA and OTA.

The required minimum eligibility to appear is that :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised board.

Candidate age must be between 19-25 years.

Examination is conducted in two stages :-

Written.

SSB.

So, you are not eligible to appear for the examination.
