Can I apply for CSIR-NET(Earth Sciences) being a MSc(Botany) final year student?


Hi everyone, I am pursuing MSc with Botany Honours. I am a final year student and looking forward to apply for CSIR-NET with Earth Sciences. I would like to know that can I apply for this NET as I am still a final year student?

No, To apply for CSIR- NET in Earth sciences you must have a M.Sc. In one of the following subjects-

Geology,Geophysics ,Meteorology, Oceanography, Physical geography, or other related disciplines.


Since your M.Sc is in botany, you are eligible to apply for LIFE SCIENCES.

Final year students can apply for CSIR-NET under result awaited category.

You will need to submit a attested form by head of department . Along with a scanned copy of mark-sheet of previous semester.

Last date to apply online for CSIR-NET December 2018 is 15 October 2018
