Dear friend,

For getting into science stream you should get above 6 cgpa. But as you said your caste is ST, so yes you are eligible for science stream.
But i will suggest you to go with your interest not with the people around you.

Sorry to say dear but you cant get admission in science.
As for science stream cgpa should be above 7, but you need not to disappoint you have other options open. You can get Arts or commerce which are also good for your career and even you can do more well in these streams.
So, don't get upset and go ahead with any of these two streams and just give excellent performance.

you cannot do anything in life as u have secured disgusting marks in board xamination

The chances of you getting admission in college for science stream are very slim even keeping in mind that you are ST.
Usually good colleges have their cut-offs for science around 9.0 and the ones with not much reputation but okay enough close their cut-offs at 7.0.
These are the cut-offs for a general category student and so the ST cut-offs being lower than this may go down to 6.0 but I do not think that it will go below that.
Anyhow you should still dig deep and try to find colleges that may take admission for science for that CGPA.
