yea you may join. the student from automobile engineering and from mechanical engineering stream can go for further study in automobile engineering.

the marks does not matter to take admission although some institute never take admission of those student who does not have minimum of 60% marks. you should not try for these type of institution. but surely you may take admission in various institution in automobile engineering.

best of luck.

yes definitely you can take admission in automobile course. automobile is also a part of mechanical engineering. some good colleges requires minimum 60% marks in b.tech but there are some other colleges which doesn't require such criteria. you can take admission in these colleges.

Yes of course you can join.

Since you did UG in mechanical you are eligible to do higher studies in automobile.

Your percentage is not a matter of admission. You can try for colleges and sure you can get seat.

Don't worry.

All the best.

You can apply direct on the automobile sector after completing your B.tech.

Your marks are rarely good in B.tech & also get admission on specialization on the Master degree as Automobile sector.
