Can I still join South African Army at the age of 29 years?
Hi. I'm 28 years, turning 29 on September 30th... I have always wanted to join the SA army since my childhood.. can i still stand a chance to join the army at my age?

A candidate must be be 16 years old at the time of joining.
Army age limit Maximum age is 35 for Active duty guard, army reserve. Navy age limit 39 for active duty 39 for navy reserve A clear South African citizen ship only, grade 12 contestant must reach the legal age of 18 and 22 years. |

No, you can't join the South African Army at the age of 29 years.
The age of the applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 26 years (the required age varies according to the category of training/service) when joining for the first time. This age restriction does not apply to applicants with professional or critical skill qualifications required. |

South African Army eligibility criteria:-
1) Candidates must be between the age of 18-22 with only Gr 12. 2) Must be between the age of 18-26 with post Gr 12 qualification. 3) Candidates must be a South African citizen. 4) Must be medically fit. 5) No criminal offence. |
