Can I use my B.Tech ECE for getting jobs in IT companies?


I have done B.Tech with specialization in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Can I get in IT companies for Software jobs? How is my degree related to jobs in IT companies specifically in Software Developing department?

Yes, ECE graduates can get jobs in IT companies. There are many IT companies that hire non-IT/CSE background candidates.

Some of these IT companies includes:
  • Infosys
  • TCS
  • Wipro
  • Capgemini
  • Accenture
  • Tech Mahindra
  • Cognizant and many more.
These companies require non-IT graduates like ECE graduates for circuit designing, lab projects. So, you can get job in these companies.
