No doubt petroleum is a good sector but now a days there is greater demand in the auto sector as the Q1 & Q2 results are very good in the financial year 2010-11.As you have already gained a better experience in the auto sector so my advise is not to switch into the petroleum sector but try to maintain a better position in the auto sector.

Dear friend,
Petroleum engineering sector has vast prospects in India and as well as in abroad. As it is known as the black gold in the industry, the demand of engineers in different sector is also huge. Petroleum engineering professionals can also indulge in Mining, Geology and Chemical Engineering. You can switch to the management field as this has the scope to deal with all the sectors equally. Companies like Indian Oil, Oil India Limited, HPCL, BP, ONGC etc have great demand for experienced petroleum engineers. So go on with this career. All the best!! |
