Since, B.Tech Mechanical is of four years duration. So, you will be eligible for as many competitive exams in final year of your graduation only. There are some exams which you can appear after completing graduation only.

Here, I had listed some of the competitive exams that you can appear while studying in final year of your B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.

GATE

Syllabus is based on entire B.Tech Mechanical subjects that you have studied in the past three years along with some subjects of 4th year. You can get past year papers from GATE official site and prepare accordingly.

Banking exams
Syllabus of Bank exams like IBPS, SBI PO is based on Aptitude, English, Reasoning, General Studies. You can easily get reference books for preparation of these sections.

Management exams (like CAT, MAT, XAT, etc.)
Syllabus of Management exams are based on Aptitude, English, Reasoning, General Studies.

PSUs based exams (DRDO, ISRO, etc)
Some organizations conduct their own entrance exams for recruitment. They have their own syllabus according to which you have to prepare. Generally, their syllabus is based on GATE syllabus.

Civil Services Exam
Civil Services exam is also based on sections included in Banking exams.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
