Is it compulsory to to appear for Jee 2016 if my son is giving MH-CET 2016? Isn't this exam is enough for him?

MH CET is the Maharashtra Common Entrance test. It is conducted by the state government for admission in state engineering, medical colleges etc.

JEE stands for the Joint Entrance exam conducted by the CBSE for admission in top colleges of engineering like IIT, NITs, government engineering colleges.

No it is not compulsory, however I would suggest you to allow your son to appear for both exams, it will be more profitable.

Yes you are eligible to get admission into Engineering college on the basis of Maharastra engineering entrance exam.

Do not worry about any other entrance exam.
