Dear Sir, my son is interested to take Train Engine Driver course. His education qualification is plus two in Biology Science group and degree in B.Com. Which course to study now and from where in Kerala?

If your is is interested to become a train loco pilot, then he should pursue diploma in engineering course in discipline of electrical or mechanical or electronics or automobile based on class 10th qualification. After completion of diploma in engineering in mentioned discipline, your son can apply for the post of train assistant loco pilot when notification is released by RRB.

Train Assistant Loco Pilot Eligibility
- You must have passed Act Apprentice or ITI pass or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Automobile from a recognized university.
- Your age must be between 18 to 28 years. Upper age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

- Computer Based Test 1 (CBT 1)
- Computer Based Test 2 (CBT 2)
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
