Syllabus: The course subjects in SLET are the same as that of the UGC NET. The syllabus is also available in the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in |

slet exam
eligibility - The candidates should have done or pursuing a UGC specified degree. The aspirants should have cleared Master’s degree or equivalent examinations with at least 55 per cent marks, from a recognized University. Examination Pattern Paper one of the examination aims to assess the candidate’s reasoning ability, comprehension and thinking. The paper also assesses the teaching aptitude of the candidate. Paper two consists of short questions, which are based on the candidate’s selected subject. The aforementioned two papers consist of 50 objective type of questions. SLET EXAM:
Different states conduct their own State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for recruitment of Lectures in Colleges and Universities located in that state. Friend,You have not mentioned the name of the state for which you wish to take SLET. So it is difficult to provide accurate information. For example: SLET conducted by the APPSC (A.P. UGC NET exam is conducted regularly twice in a year with a notification of minimum 3months before the exam commences. But Tamilnadu SLET exam is not regularly
conducted States conducting SLET Presently SLET is being conducted in the following states: Maharashtra Goa Tamil Nadu Madhya Pradesh Andhra Pradesh Himachal Pradesh Jammu & Kashmir Rajasthan Uttar Pradesh West Bengal Gujarat Eligibility Candidate has Any Indian national who obtained Master Degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) is eligible to sit in the SLET. Notification of Tamilnadu SLET 2011 exam is expected in the month of February. Exam date of Tamilnadu SLET 2011 exam will be conducted in the month of April 2011. Applications for Tamilnadu SLET 2011 exam will be issued by Bharathiyar University Coimbatore.

Tamilnadu SLET is anounced, Exam will be on 14 AUG 11 , application will be issued from May 14 th on onwards.
