The examination pattern of Assistant Commandant Exam is as below:

Paper I: General ability and Intelligence

It is of 250 marks. Questions asked in this paper is of multiple choice objective type.

Questions asked in this paper is mainly from given below areas:

>>General mental ability.

>>General science.

>>Current events of national and international importance.

>>Indian Polity and Economy.

>>History of India.

>>India and World Geography.

Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension.

>>Essay questions are to be answered in long descriptive form either in Hindi or in English and is of 80 marks.

>>Comprehension and precis writing to be attempted in English only and is of 120 marks. It is also descriptive.
