Differences between BPharm, DPharm, MPharm and Pharma.D courses? Entrance exams available to secure admission?
Hi Sir, I am interested to study Pharmacy after completing my 12th. I would like to know about the differences between BPharm, DPharm, MPharm and Pharma.D courses. And also let me know about the entrance exams so that I can secure admission.

Differences Among B.Pharm, D.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharma.D
B.Pharm It is 4 year bachelor's degree course in pharmacy. Admission will be based on university level or state level entrance examination. D.Pharm It is 2 year duration diploma in pharmacy course. Admission will be based on score secured in qualifying examination. After D.Pharm, One can get lateral entry admission into 2nd year of B.Pharm. M.Pharm It is 2 year duration postgraduate course in pharmacy. Admission will be based on entrance exam GPAT or university level entrance examination. Pharma.D It is doctorate course in pharmacy. Admission will be based on entrance exam GPAT or university level entrance examination. After (10+2) in science stream with PCM or PCB subject group, One can pursue Pharma.D course having duration 6 years (5 years study + 1 year internship). After B.Pharm, One can pursue Pharma.D course having duration 3 years (2 years study + 1 years internship). |
