Hello everyone, I am doing MA English from IGNOU. I want to know about my eligibility to apply for UGC-NET. I am confused because I don't know whether I am eligible or not. Kindly tell me immediately. Thank you!

Default Re: Eligibility to apply for UGC-NET for MA(English) student of IGNOU?

NET refers to National Eligibility Test and the minimum education required for appearing in the same examination is a master's degree (in paper opted for appearing in NET) with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for SC/ST OR PH category candidates.

So, having completed your MA in English degree course from IGNOU, you are eligible for appearing UGC-NET with English as you examination paper, if you have managed to secured at least 55% marks ( or 50% in case you belong to SC/ST or PH category ) in your MA degree.

For more details regarding NET, you can refer to the link www.nta.ac.in.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
