Eligibility and syllabus for M.Sc entrance exam of NIT Trichy?


Hi sir,i'm purusing bsc mathematics (final year), i want to do msc in computer science
Kindly tell me is i'm eligible ?
And send the syllabus for entrance exam(msc computer science) in Nit trichy

Eligibility criteria:
  • You should have 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in qualifying examination in case of general category. If you are under SC or ST category then you need just passed certificate from your qualifying examination.

Selection procedure:
  • Selection criteria for M.Sc admission in NIT Tirchy is through NITT written exam. Note there is no interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on UG and written test.
Eligibility criteria for M.Sc Computer science:
  • From recognized university you should have bachelor’s degree in science of 10+2+3 pattern with at least 6 papers in Computer Science and 2 papers in Mathematics under semester system or at least 3 papers in Computer Science and 1 paper in Mathematics under Annual System.
  • If you all under above criteria then you are eligible for M.Sc in Computer science in NIT Tirchy.
Pattern/Syllabus of Entrance exam:
  • Exam will be of 90 minutes with 45 questions from UG mathematics and statistics and 15 questions from Programming logic and deductive reasoning i.e. analytical questions.
  • Mathematics and statistics syllabus as follows, Calculus, Algebra, Sequences and Series, Co-ordinate Geometry, Matrices and Linear Algebra, Vector Analysis, Real and Complex analysis, Probability, Statistics, Estimation Linear Programming, Transportation and Assignment problems

Sorry, you are not applicable for M.Sc computer science after completion of B.Sc Maths. You can apply for M.Sc Mathematics only. Please , find the syllabus for M.Sc entrance exam (Maths ) as follows: Calculus, Algebra, Sequences and Series, Co-ordinate Geometry, Matrices and Linear Algebra, Vector Analysis, Real and Complex analysis, Probability, Statistics, Estimation Linear Programming, Transportation and Assignment problems

sir, i want to do my msc pysics in nit trichy.... do i need high percentage of marks in UG degree?? i have more more than 60% but my doubt is will my UG percentage is taken for any other things

I have done BSc chemistry Hons from Doon University with aggregate of 6.5 CGPA. I have my 12th from Bio background.. Am I eligible to sit in exam?
