Which entrance is required to do PhD in Astrophysics?

Hi, I want to do PhD in Astrophysics. So, which entrance examination do I need to write for this? Do I need to write GATE or NET? And, which university or colleges would be best for PhD Astrophysics?

Default Re: Which entrance is required to do PhD in Astrophysics?

Here I have top institutes for pursuing PhD in Astrophysics and their selection procedure.
1. Tata Institute Of Fundamental Research
=> This institute conducts an entrance exam TIFR. You should score a good rank to pursue Phd in Astrophysics from the institute.

2. Indian Centre for Space Physics, Kolkata.
=>>You must have secured a valid rank(less than 200) in UGC CSIR-NET or JEST or GATE . Then the institute will call you for a short interview. After qualifying in interview you will pursue phd in Astrophysics.
3. Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore.
=> Selection process is same as previous one.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
