Most of the bank clerical exams have the same syllabus patterns. The federal bank clerical exam contains syllabus from the following areas. General Intelligence, Clerical Aptitude, English Language, Numerical Aptitude and General Awareness. It is advisable to prepare yourself in a coaching center, as the competition is really huge.

Test of reasoning - 30
Test of english language - 30
Test of numerical ability - 30
Computer knowledge & aptitude - 40
Test of financial awareness - 40
Marketing knowledge & aptitude - 30

The composite time of 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours is given for all the test together.
